Time has changed, with modernization life is becoming too fast and stressful . Everyone is running. People have so much pressure to be maintain their status . Everyone is career oriented .Stress is defined by WHO …” it means when someone feel troubled and threatened by life”. Life has its own ups and downs and every single person has to face it one or other way. Bit of pressure is normal for everyone while walking through the journey of life. as its said ” Excess of everything is bad” . When stress increase then body get disturbed and so is mind.
Sometimes we get entangled with our emotions and it turn into emotional strom. If one is not grounded then its obvious to blow with strom. On other hand if you are grounded then one can handle his or emotions well and look after his or herself while strom passing. Grounding has 3 simple steps.
- Find out how you are feeling and thinking.
- Slow down and connect with your body.
- Refocus and connect with people around you.
This will help to overcome from the emotional storm.
One should unhook the unpleasant emotions because when something is on hook it cannot get away.when we get hooked with difficult emotions we get into arguments and fights. The person hooked with emotions might stay away from their loved ones and spend most of his or her time lying in bed.
The first 2 steps of unhooking is Notice and Name.
Notice and admit that thoughts has hooked you.
Name it and say.
“here is tightness in my chest”
” here is anger”
“Here is painful memory “
For this WHO recommended an excersice to breath slow down connect with body . stretch , push your feet into the ground. Do it gently. Breath out slow and count to 3 before you breath in again. Let your lungs refills as slowly as possible. One can easily practice this anytime while working .
Being grounded and unhooked is the key to be stressfree.
